Featured: Loneliness by Isabella Smith

Can anyone be blamed for not knowing

The loneliness of another soul?

Loneliness doesn’t show like a spot

On your chin, or a lip with a cold sore

Loneliness is deep within,

Hidden from view.

Loneliness is yours alone to live with

To make a friend of

Because it is the only thing that is constant in your life.

Take your loneliness by the hand

And say we will go out tonight

Loneliness says I would rather stay in

But be firm and insist and may be

At the end of the night

Loneliness will say

I enjoyed that but I felt a bit invisible
